Sherrie, a variant spelling of Sherry, spent 52 years on the baby names chart, debuting in 1936 and dropping out in 1988.  Her best years occurred during the 1950s and 1960s.  She peaked at #215 in 1962, the same year the "Sherry" by the Four Seasons spent five weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
