Van is a bit of a shaky performer on the baby names chart.  He bounced above and below the 400 line for much of the 1st half of the 20th century, getting a boost in the 1940s, which corresponds to the peak of this actor's popularity.  He fell off the chart in 1990, reappeared the following year, then quickly dropped out of sight again until 2005.  Since then he's only managed to bounce around the lower reaches of the chart.
