Until the mid-1960s, Jeremiah seemed to be on a bumpy road to nowhere.  Perhaps Three Dog Night deserves partial credit for the song's rocketing into the top 100 during the 1970s, where it has spent 28 weeks and counting (1976-1983, 2001-present), peaking at #51 in 2010 and 2011.
