There is no traditional front desk.
Instead, guests at Madison’s newest hotel check in at the bar. And if there is a need for an extra towel, more shampoo or an iron, they’re all located in self-service metal cabinets illuminated by purple neon lights in the hallways of each floor.
But when the 151-room Moxy Madison Downtown hotel opens Thursday at 823 E. Washington Ave., guests will also notice its music-themed decor, bright furniture and a dumbwaiter that shuttles drinks from the first-floor bar to the second-floor lounge and library..
Not as pricey as the Saddlery.
