More specifically, the period from September 1978 to May 1986.

Sometimes, though, I'd simply flip through the bins of albums and make mental notes of possibilities for purchase.  Pictured below is the location at 416 North Main Street, the location of the store when Retiring Guy lived in Oshkosh.

It's hard to say exactly what kind of impact the closure will have, but folks like Mulloy are certain there will be one — across the region, but especially in downtown Oshkosh, where The Exclusive Co. has been headquartered since the mid-1950s. Giombetti opened the first Exclusive Co. in West Bend in 1956 and the second one in Oshkosh shortly after. 

Exclusive Co. General Manager David Peters, who also manages the Oshkosh location, said the decision to close the stores will likely send him into retirement. 

Peters, who has been with the company for 38 years, said he might get a part-time job for a time, but has no plans to "start over."
