Registered sex offender banned from Brookfield Library internet after sitting in children's section. (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 11/27/2018)
An employee reported at 12:49 p.m. that the 63-year-old registered sex offender was sitting at the internet station in the children's area of the library, 1900 N. Calhoun Road. The employee said the man didn't come in with any children and was asked to move to the adult station, but he remained at the spot.
All library patrons who don't come in with kids are asked to move, according to the police report. The caller told police the man wasn't looking at anything inappropriate, but felt a "weird vibe." There were no children in the area at first, but the caller said the man appeared to be "watching" children who later filtered in, the report said.
