Derek Anderson, who unsuccessfully ran for Kent County’s 20th District seat in 2024 [he got trounced by a 2 to 1 margin], was formally censured by the Kent County GOP’s executive committee on Tuesday, Feb. 11, for “conduct unbecoming of a member of the party,”
Chair Lynn Afendoulis said in a statement. Afendoulis cited “pro-Nazi” social media posts made by Anderson on X, which included imagery of Adolf Hitler with the caption, “In your heart you know he’s right.” The post has since been taken down by X.
