The company, which has grown steadily since its founding in 1979, now has more than 13,000 employees, with around 12,500 of them based in Verona, spokesperson Jacob Wright said. That’s an increase of nearly 4,000 on-site staff since 2018.
Driving that growth is the increasing prevalence of Epic’s software, which the company says now holds health records for 305 million patients. New health systems continue to adopt it, working with Epic employees to train their own staff and to customize the software to meet their needs.
