Gabriel Scotto reports about the "new strategies" that the Trump administration is planning:
Commercial farms use a variety of methods to prevent the spread of HPAI. Baldridge said trucks that deliver poultry feed are cleaned thoroughly after they’ve completed their deliveries.
Other biosecurity measures include only allowing essential personnel onto farms and requiring all personnel to wear special shoes and protective clothing, along with showering whenever they enter or leave barns, added Baldridge. Baldridge said small farmers can keep their flocks safe by locking up their chicken coops and making sure wild birds cannot come into contact with their chickens.
Husband and wife Eric and Kayla Gibson, owners of Sugar Butte Farms in Lowell, Ohio, use preventative measures such as moving their birds on pasture so they can forage safely. This helps strengthen their chickens’ immune systems, the Gibsons said.
Well, how about that?!  They're already in place.
