The former U.S. highway 12 section of Parmenter Street continues to undergo a transformation, as shown here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here. and possibly here.
Fitzgerald's, "The Placed for Steaks!", opening a spacious, 300-seat supper club at this 10,000-square-foot location in 1988. An Illinois businessman purchased the restaurant in 2015 and added a variety of Asian dishes to the menu. It was all downhill from there. The restaurant closed in 2017.
In the immediate aftermath of Fitzgerald's demise, 5 Star Korean BBQ had a disastrous and mercifully abbreviated run.
In August 2019, the Middleton Common Council approved a combination class B beer and class B liquor license to Billow Sports Bar & Smoke House LLC. Remodeling of the building got underway after a few months but the arrival of Covid apparently nipped the project in the bud. The building has remained empty ever since.
