CES 2016 Netatmo Welcome home security camera

Andrew Gebhart, c|net associate edtor, likes this $200 product -- with reservations.  He offers 2 better alternatives at the conclusion of this video.

Mentioned in the slide show, The 2016 CES Report: The Trend Behind the Trend.  (Innovation Excellence)

Second opinion.
Netatmo Welcome review: An HD security camera with face recognition.  (ZDNet, 7/14/2015)
Charles McLellan's review is divided into 4 sections:  design, setup, in use, conclusion.  Like Andrew, he notes the devices slow, cautious approach to face recognition.

Not exactly confidence-building reviews at Amazon.

Bottom Line:  Combining the reviews of less-than-satisfied customers with Gebhart's video comments, I'd say that the Netatmo is a work in progress.  (A totally "hands-off" conclusion, of course.)
