Tiffany hasn’t held a public town hall/listening session since the end of January. He held 7 across the district between January 27-28. GOP leadership has told their members to not have in-person town halls for fear of angry constituents.
On Tuesday, Tiffany did attend a private event in Wausau centered around trans-gender athletes. That seemed to spark people even more.
“We want a town hall with Tom Tiffany, also,” said Nancy Stencil of Wausau. “Congress is on recess right now.”
Doug Schultz drove down from Sayner, saying, “what we most want is for him to understand and hear our concerns.”
“How is eliminating 60,000 positions at the VA gonna give all the veterans the medical and emotional care and financial support that they earned?” said Scott Wallace from Tomahawk.
The former pastor of a Virginia megachurch has been convicted of burglary and stalking after video captured him sneaking into the home of a previous member of his congregation.
A Virginia jury found Sergio Guardia, 49, guilty of the charges on March 12, according to court records obtained by USA TODAY. His sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 20. The woman he was convicted of stalking, Marie Columna, told WSET-TV that Guardia entered her home when she was out of town on Nov. 10 and 11 back in 2023.
At the time, a phone notification woke Columna up telling her a man was inside her home, she said.
