2012 Marshfield Public Library Budget Reduced by 2.4%

Excerpt: The budget will continue the current tax rate while also maintaining the present standard of city services, Mayor Chris Meyer said.

"There are some costs we can't change, like the increases in protective services and cost of fuel. Overall, it's a good budget," Meyer said.

Staffing hours were reduced at the Marshfield Public Library, which cut the facility's budget by $8,878, Barg said. He said the council voted to transfer the money into a contingency account
