Several low-rise West Side buildings, including one containing Glass Nickel Pizza Co.’s Madison West location, may be demolished to make way for apartments and new commercial space under a proposal from a Madison-area developer.  

The restaurant will relocate next year. 

Galway Companies, of Monona, is proposing to redevelop the triangular block bounded by University Avenue, North Whitney Way and Old Middleton Road with nearly 500 apartments and more than 500 interior parking spaces across three seven-story buildings.
