Nick El Hajj reports:
When asked Thursday whether he agrees with the EPA’s move, Republican U.S. Rep. Zach Nunn, whose 3rd Congressional District includes Des Moines, deferred to EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin.
“I think one of the things I want to make sure is that we're not putting onerous D.C.-level red tape on folks who are trying to do the upgrades on this," Nunn said. "I've worked with the Des Moines Water Works a lot on this. They feel like they've got a plan to help tackle it. I want to take an Iowa solution back to Washington, D.C., not have D.C. put more regulations on communities across the country in a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. We know that doesn't work.” [emphasis added]
