USA box office on the 2nd weekend of July 2024 is down 5% compared to last year when "Insidious: The Red Door" was the top-grossing movie. "Despicable Me 4" took the top spot for the second weekend in a row.
And it's down 40% compared to the 2017 peak when "Spider-Man: Homecoming" ruled the weekend box office.
