Paul Ryan-aligned super PAC is out to save the day for John Katko (R-New York)

For the past two decades, voters have made New York's 24th congressional district a see-saw affair.  The seat was held by a Republican from 2001 to 2006, a Democrat from 2007-2010, a Republican from 2011-2012, and a Democrat from 2013-2014.  Republican John Katko is currently serving his 2nd term.

The effort, part of the super PAC’s plan to spend $100 million to influence House races, underscores the high stakes of upcoming House battles and marks an early push by Ryan’s allies to ensure that individual House races do not become a referendum on President Trump and his performance.
