The 37,000-square-foot, three-story facility that overlooks the Beltline is the vision and now the reality of Gee to bring Black members of the community together to celebrate, create and recognize the entrepreneurship, music, art and stories of the Black community, not only in Madison but from around the state.
The building, with floor-to-ceiling windows, includes event space with a full bar, a theater, a lounge with an adjacent outdoor deck, classrooms for high school and college programs, studios for recording music and podcasts, an innovation center to help fledgling businesses, a senior center, a library and an art gallery.
