Duane Mortensen writers in a letter to the editor:
Grassley has been doing these town hall type of meetings a long time, and, in my opinion, every time he does one, he basically ignores anyone who disagrees with his radical conservative agenda. He is more afraid of President Donald Trump and the right wing MAGA crowd than he is afraid of average Iowans. I think he is especially cautious right now because he does not want to risk Trump having any negative feelings toward anyone named Grassley because his grandson is now trying to climb the ladder in politics. [emphasis added]
Over the years I have written Grassley a number of times with specific questions. I have never gotten any of those specific questions answered but instead gotten a response filled with his right-wing political rhetoric.
