Gun crazy Wisconsin GOP continues to do the bidding of NRA

Republican lawmakers on Thursday stripped all gun safety provisions and funding for an anti-violence office from Gov. Tony Evers’ budget proposal just hours after police arrested the father of a 15-year-old girl whose shooting spree at a Madison school spurred the governor to create the office. 
Evers launched the Office of Violence Prevention just weeks after the girl opened fire on classmates at Abundant Life Christian School in December, leaving a teacher and student dead and two other students badly wounded before she died by suicide. The governor cited the tragedy as a key impetus behind his administration’s goal of stemming gun violence in Wisconsin.
