The building below opened in 1963 as the Hilldale State Bank. Its name was change to Affiliated Bank of Hilldale in 1974. In 1981, it was taken over by Marshall & Ilsley (M&I) Bank. Additions were made in 1970 and 1987. M&I was, in turn, acquired by BMO Harris in 2010.
BMO built a new Hilldale Branch, with a much reduced footprint, a block south to 216 Price Place. The building here has remained empty since then as it awaits demolition for the Phase 3 redevelopment of Hilldale.
And, yes, there is such as thing as the University Hill Farms Historic District.
