This hoary chestnut can be traced back to the September 18, 1995, issue of Focus on the Family newsletter Citizen. The title of the feature article: What lurks in the library?
The subtitle notes that....The American Library Association believes that children should have access to all material, no matter how violent or obscene.
A boxed section on page 3 contains an interview (of sorts) with Judith Krug, head of ALA's Office for Intellectual Freedom. The word "Playboy" does not appear within the text of "Fears real and imagined", but Krug does offer the following comment.

The variation on a theme has been continues to be used by porn-free and SafeLibraries advocates, such as the crazed, one-note Megan Fox. [And I quote: Parents who would tell their children not to read Playboy don’t really care about their kids growing up and learning to think and explore. (9/18/95 Citizen, quoting Judith Krug.)]
Clearly, Megan didn't bother to check the source material herself.
Watch out!!
