Popular Baby Names: Nancy (1880-2012)

Social Security Administration Popular Baby Names

According to Wikipedia, Nancy was originally a diminutive form of Anne or Ann. It began to be used as a proper name from the 18th century onward.

Nancy spent 22 years in the top 10 -- from 1934 to 1955.  Best year:  1950 at #6.  Lately, though, she seems to be in a free fall.

From 1942, but not written for Frank's daughter Nancy.  Apparently, nobody dared tell him so.

Girls named Nancy in the Warren Area High School class of 1968.  (Most of whom would have been born in 1950.)

• Nancy Barney
• Nancy Morse
• Nancy Niedzialek
• Nancy Rush
