Tuesday marked a rough night for the Wyoming Freedom Caucus, as its members and allies fell to a slew of legislative newcomers in the Republican primary election.
In Campbell County, House Appropriations Chair John Bear lost to coal mine transportation manager Doug Moore [who won by 17 percentage points].
Rep. Ken Penderg0raft, R-Sheridan, lost to business owner Melissa Butcher [who also won by 17 points].
And in northeast Wyoming, former Senate President Ogden Driskill held his seat narrowly against House Speaker Chip Neiman.
Sen. Bob Ide [lost by 5 points], and current Reps. Daniel Singh [lost by 33 points], Ocean Andrew [lost by 21 points], Steve Johnson [lost by 36 points], Tony Locke [lost by 13 points], Marlene Brady [lost by 31 points], Nina Webber [lost by 32 points], Gary Brown [lost by 46 points], Ann Lucas [lost by 26 points], Robert Wharff [lost by 21 points], and Darin McCann [lost by 19 points] all lost their challenges as well.
