Amanda Friedman reports:
The biggest Republican critic of Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in the Senate, Louisiana’s Bill Cassidy, said he thought President Donald Trump deserved a Nobel Prize for his Operation Warp Speed push to develop Covid vaccines during the pandemic at a Finance Committee hearing Thursday.
The gambit served two ends for Cassidy. It both curried favor with Trump, whose support he’d like in his bid for reelection next year, and forced Kennedy to explain his own moves to restrict access to the shots.
You're a hoot, Amanda!
