Waukesha County District Attorney Sue Opper said Thursday she has made no decision yet on whether to file charges against state Rep. Janel Brandtjen of Menomonee Falls for alleged campaign finance violations, as reportedly urged by a referral to her office from the state Ethics Commission recently. 

"I have not made a charging decision and have no timeline for doing so,"  [emphasis added]

Opper said in an email to Conley Media on Thursday. Opper also sent a letter to an attorney for the state Ethics Commission on Tuesday advising she’s received two thumb drive records in the case, is still reviewing the materials and has "made no decisions or conclusions abut how to proceed."
