Mecklenburg County, North Carolina: Why the GOP believes that voter suppression is the only path to survival

Mecklenburg County:  From a 25.6 percentage point GOP advantage in 1984 to a 35.1 percentage point Democratic advantage in 2020.

Trump received 23,693 more votes than he did in 2016, a 15% increase.   Biden received 83,545 more votes than Clinton did in 2016, an increase of 28%.

Trump's share of the vote decreased by 1.3 percentage points. Biden increased Clinton's share of the vote by 4.4 percentage points.
