The proposal does not need the support of Democratic Gov. Tony Evers to be enacted. But it does have to clear the state Senate, where the measure received a public hearing in October but hasn't yet gotten a committee vote. Its future in that chamber is unclear.Unclear? You can bet on it!
GOP class of 1982. 38-year award. The ageless Robert Cowles (R-Green Bay) served in the State Assembly from January 1983 until April 1987, when he was elevated to the State Senate in a special election. He's still there, folks.
GOP class of 1990. 30-year award. Alberta Darling (R-River Hills) served in the State Assembly from May 1990 until January 1993. She has been a member of the State Senate since then. 30 years.

GOP class of 1990. 30-year award. Stephen Nass (R-Whitewater) served in the State Assembly from January 1991 to January 2005. He has been a member of the State Senate since 2005.

Class of 1994. 26-year award. When Fitz was first elected to the State Senate. Now he has other plans.
Class of 1994. 26-year award. The now spineless Luther Olsen (R-Ripon) served in the State Assembly from January 1995 to January 2005 He has been a member of the State Senate since 2005.
