Does anyone still read Carolyn Chute?
As of today, 3 people have placed a hold on her latest novel in LINKcat.
Today's New York Times book review makes her latest book sound like a confounding mess. It clocks in at 745 pages, by the way. While reading it, I recalled my slog through The Beans of Egypt, Maine, 35 years ago. And that, at least, was mercifully short at 215 pages.
Retiring Guy has taken a pass on her books ever since.
