Part of the Grand Rapids metro area, Ottawa County is Michigan's fastest-growing county.  Its population has increased 283% since 1950, compared to a 34% decrease in Wayne County, Michigan's unhealthiest, since its 1970 peak.  Ottawa County's nonwhite population is 15.8% of its total compared to 50% in Wayne.
