Trump voter remorse in Cerro Gordo County Iowa? Sure sounds like it!

Cerro Gordo County voted Democratic in presidential elections from 1984 to 2012.  Than along came Donald Trump and his MAGA promises.  Enough voters there drank the Koolaid offered to them.

And now everyone is paying the price.

Brianne Pfannenstiel reports on Ashley parroting the company line:
Questions spanned a range of topics, with most coming from people who disagreed with Hinson. They covered issues such as the revocation of temporary protected status for various immigrant groups, congressional efforts to rein in Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s reported use of unsecured Signal chats to share detailed military plans, including the timing of bombing runs in Yemen. “I think making sure we're protecting that classified information is really, really important,” Hinson said about Hegseth. “It's my understanding that nothing that was actually classified was communicated.”
The rest of her answer was largely drowned out by groans and disbelieving outbursts from the crowd.

Iowa Republican and Trump sycophant Ashley Hinson did herself no favors in appearance at Mason City town hall

She defeated her Democratic opponent in the 2024 race for Iowa's 2nd congressional district, but the way things are going for Trump that's not going to be enough padding for her in 2026.

Brianne Pfannenstiel reveals the depth of Ashley sycophancy and her inability to read a room:
Hinson refused to water down her support for President Donald Trump or Republican's legislative agenda in Congress, despite the fiery opposition.
“Americans overwhelmingly rejected the status quo in November because our country was going in the wrong direction,” she said in her opening comments to the group. “High inflation, open borders and hard-working men and women in Iowa and across the country felt like their voices were not heard by their leaders. Families in Iowa want to have safe streets, affordable groceries and gas, and make sure that their kids have opportunities to live out the American dream. And that is what President Trump and his team are delivering.”
Hinson said Trump is fighting for Americans.
“And I do think that God saved the president in Butler, Pennsylvania, for a reason,” she said, referencing the assassination attempt against Trump last July. “He saved the president, and I believe the president is working with us to help save the country.”

On day 23,798 in office, dithering 91-year-old huck Grassley basically shrugs off Pete Hegseth's incompetence @SecDef

Laura Belin reports
Grassley told Iowa reporters in March he would “take the administration’s word for it” that no classified information was shared in the Signal chat involving government officials and Goldberg. And the self-styled advocate for “transparency” and “accountability” isn’t demanding further information about Hegseth’s texts to family members. “Now if there’s a good reason for it, I’d like to know,” Grassley told Carlson. “But I’ll never get an answer to that question,” he said before moving on to the next topic
