Middleton Wisconsin's booming north side: Pheasant Crossing, Misty Valley, Redtail RIdge

Lots are filling up quickly in Pheasant Crossing, shown in the foreground.  Construction started in the fall of 2025.

The first houses in the Misty Valley subdivision, located behind Pheasant Crossing, were constructed in 2009.  By 2017, the development was full.

In the distance to the right is the entrance to Redtail Ridge, where construction began in 2024. 

With Lake Mendota to the east, Madison to the south, and a greenspace bordering the Town of Middleton to the west, Middleton has only one direction in which to expand.  Its other option is infill, which is taking place along its major thoroughfares:  University Avenue, Allen Boulevard, Century Avenue, and Parmenter Street.
