What's the matter with Iowa? GOP continues to pander to MAGA base

Stephen Gruber-Miller reports:

Republican lawmakers passed the ban as part of the state's health and human services budget, House File 1049. The $2.47 billion budget funds Iowa's Department of Health and Human Services, including Iowa's Medicaid program, as well as the Department of Veterans Affairs. 

The Iowa House passed the bill Tuesday, May 13 on a 63-28 vote, and the Iowa Senate voted 31-15 on Wednesday, May 14 to send the measure to Reynolds.
