Wisconsin 2022 elections: Who's running in the 87th Assembly District?


Located in northwest Wisconsin, the boxy, GOP-gerrymandered district comprises all of Rusk and Taylor counties and most of Sawyer County, as well as neighboring municipalities in northwest Marathon County and northwest Clark County.

 The 76-year-old James Edming (R-Glen Flora) has represented the district since January 2015.    It a very red, and still very Trumpy.




Edming has a challenger in the August 9th GOP primary.  The winner will face off against Elizabeth Riley in the fall general election.
