A Move to Plan B for Viroqua Center/Library Project

'Plan B' for Viroqua Center/library project will be coming. (Vernon County Broadcaster, 10/19/2011)

Excerpt:   Martin said there are four significant "new rules" architects can follow when planning the Viroqua Center. Martin said that the McIntosh Memorial Library Task Force is now allowing the architects to:

--Design the library portion of the Viroqua Center with the senior center attached to it. In the plan that was unveiled in August, the those portions of the project were basically separate buildings.

--Design the library as a two-story building. Martin said previously the task force had wanted a plan that only considered the public spaces of the library as a one-story building.

--Approach the site design with the Dahl Building on South Main Street remaining as rental business space. This would allow business tenants Buzzy's Furniture and Bluedog Cycles to remain at their current locations.

--Approach the site design with the Viroqua Center possibly not being directly located on Main Street.
