And in spite of the building boom on Mount Horeb's east side, the village shows a net decrease of 1 resident.

On Mount Horeb’s east side, Windflower Village has been largely built and will have 54 single-family homes, some of which are two-bedroom, two-bath, 1,200-square-foot cottages for about $396,000. Three-bedroom homes with 2.5 bathrooms and just under 1,900 square feet of living space are on the market for between $426,000 and $496,000, according to the Encore Homes website. Owners of the “small footprint” homes also don’t have to mow or shovel their sidewalks and driveways.
