U.S. Census Bureau's 2022 population projections: Iowa's 19th smallest county (Emmet) has fewer residents than it did in 1900

 
Iowa has 99 counties.

86.3% Trumpy white Emmet County's population has decreased 38% since its 1960 peak of 14,871.

Since the publication of this article, Emmet County has lost an additional 212 residents -- a 2.2% decrease in just 2 years.
