Day 765 of GOP election denier hysteria (Trump Big Lie Clown Show Circus Arizona ground zero edition)

ATTACK Of the Clown Show zombies

Kelli Ward
Arizona Republican Party Chair

Some of the movement’s biggest names receive extensive fundraising hauls and social media attention by casting doubt on elections. The Arizona Republican party, led by Kelli Ward, has embraced Trumpism and election lies, casting out moderate Republicans like those who typically win statewide elections and setting the tone for an adversarial relationship between the state party and some elected Republicans who have defended elections. “It has nothing to do with patriotism. It’s a machine, a money-making effort,” said Rusty Bowers, the Arizona House speaker who was voted out in his Republican primary. “They found how to do it. The formula works … It would seem obvious to somebody with rational thinking that I am being played for my wallet.”

Thomas Jefferson, of course, was a big Trumper.
“Do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” Trump wrote in a post on the social network Truth Social and accused “Big Tech” of working closely with Democrats. “Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”

Attorneys for Lake and Finchem went unnamed in the judge’s order, which directed Maricopa County to detail their attorneys’ fees within 14 days. Among attorneys listed by the candidates in court filings was Alan Dershowitz [pictured above, dressed for work], the former Harvard Law School professor who has previously advised former president Donald Trump.
Lake, Finchem, Dershowitz and other attorneys involved in the case did not respond to requests for comment.

Loser Kari Lake
Looking to be Trump's running mate in 2024
HeadlineCBS News, 11/28/2022
Arizona was long a GOP stronghold, but this month Democrats won most of the highest profile races over Republicans who aggressively promoted Trump's 2020 election lies. Kari Lake, the GOP candidate for governor who lost to Hobbs, and Mark Finchem, the candidate for secretary of state, have refused to acknowledge their losses.
They blame Republican election officials in Maricopa County, the state's largest, including metro Phoenix, for a problem with some ballot printers. Officials in Maricopa County said everyone had a chance to vote and all legal ballots were counted.

Last week, the Berks County Republican Committee asked multiple precincts to recount their midterm election ballots by hand. They claimed voting machines switched votes from Republican to Democratic candidates.
“A recount is only an investigation,” Committee Chair Clay Breece wrote in a statement. “We are asking for a court order to open the ballot boxes so the paper ballots are manually counted by human beings to verify that the machines are working as advertised.”
County spokesperson Stephanie Weaver said those claims will delay the county’s ability to certify results.
“We have found no evidence to support these claims,” she said.

In Cochise County, a conservative stronghold in southeastern Arizona, the two Republican members of the three-person board of supervisors voted to postpone certifying the county's election results. They said they wanted to hear more evidence from those who have argued, without evidence, that the county’s voting machines were not properly certified.
Republican harridan Keri Lake won Cochise County by an 18 percentage point margin.
