Retiring Guy has never personally known anyone named Blaine, but the SSN baby names chart assures us those guy are out there.  

Blaine has experiened a middling, bouncy kinda ride, spending most of his time in the mid-range and peaking at #374 in 1989.  Looks like his years are numbered, however.
