Chester enjoyed a respectable run during the early years of the 20th century, spending 30 years in the top 100 and peaking at #53 in 1919.  His decline accelerated after 1950 and pretty much went into free fall after 1980.  He dropped off the chart after 1995 and hasn't been heard from since.
