Covid outbreaks had been reported in at least 194 meatpacking and processed food plants and four farms, as of Monday afternoon, according to data gathered by the Food and Environment Reporting Network. At least 12,608 meatpacking workers, 936 food processing workers, and 230 farmworkers have tested positive, and 54 have died. Some of the highest reports came at plants owned by Tyson Foods (at least 3,802 cases), JBS (at least 1,700 cases) and Smithfield (at least 1,029 cases).
