Ex-Dane County executive Jonathan Barry hired for Public Lands post. (Wisconsin State Journal, 11/26/2015)
Jonathan Barry, who recently has been working as an appointee of Gov. Scott Walker in state agencies, was chosen as executive secretary of the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands on Wednesday on a 2-0 vote, with one commission member abstaining.
Prior to his appointment to the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands, Barry was Deputy Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services from July to November 2015 and Deputy Secretary of the Department of Workforce Development from October 2011 to July 2015. He served as Dane County Executive from 1981 to 1987.
