One of the best-known persons named Boris during the 1960s played chess. In fact, Boris Spassky held the title of World Chess Champion from 1969 to 1972, when he lost to Bobby Fischer.
On the other hand, parents do the darndest things, and this cartoon character was a TV mainstay in the 1960s.
