No surprise that the Wisconsin Group Insurance Board, chaired by a longtime Republican donor, is looking at self-insurance for state workers

Board to vote in February on self-insurance for state workers.  (Madison.com, 1/8/2016)
After a special meeting Thursday to discuss the issue, the Group Insurance Board, largely controlled by the governor, is set to vote Feb. 17 on whether to issue requests for proposals from companies that would assist the state in self-insuring workers, on a regional or statewide basis, starting in 2018.  [emphasis added]

A board that is indeed controlled by the Governor

Other Walker contributions:  Michael Farrell (1/$100) and Charles Grapentine (5/$450)

Guess we know why Jon is the chair.
