Excerpt: The Manitowoc Public Library now has e-book readers available for checkout.
The three hand-held units include the Sony Reader, the Amazon Kindle and the Barnes & Noble Nook.
Each unit is loaded with about 75 titles and is available for a one-week loan period.
To borrow the electronic book readers, patrons must stop at the reference desk of the library, located at 707 Quay St.
