John Mica was first elected to the Florida 7th in 1992. Up until 2016, he had been re-elected ten times by large margins. First-time Democratic candidate Stephanie Murphy used an anti-Trump message to oust the incumbent.
Clinton won the district with 51.4% of the vote compared to 44.1% for Trump.
