No Democratic or other candidates are running. The winner of the August 12 primary will run unopposed in the November general election.
The 97th district is currently represented by Bill Kramer, (R-Waukesha) although many of his Republican colleagues wish otherwise. Not running for re-election, Kramer has found other uses for his campaign fund.
