Thomas Berger, ‘Little Big Man’ Author, Is Dead at 89. (The New York Times, 7/21/2014)
Honor or albatross. Mr. Berger fell into that category of novelists whose work is admired by critics, devoured by devoted readers and even assigned in modern American literature classes but who owe much of their popularity to Hollywood.
I confess that I've never read anything by Berger. Outside of "Little Big Man", any suggestions are to where to start?
Just a handful of Berger's books are available in large print and none as audiobooks in LINKcat. Little Big Man and Arthur Rex are available through Overdrive.
