Republican Zach Nunn has represented Iowa's gerrymandered 3rd congressional district since January 2023. Gerrymandering in 2021 certainly played a role in his defeating Democratic incumbent Cindy Axne in 2022

In the 3rd District, Nunn performed about on par with Trump, defeating his Democratic challenger by about 4 percentage points. Still, Trump's 4-point margin of victory in the 3rd District made it his worst district in the state. He won Iowa overall by about 13 percentage points.
Packing Polk County.
Trump panicked and pulled Elise Stefanik's UN Ambassador nomination a few days before the GOP sweated this outcome.
