Southern California-based electric-vehicle maker Fisker Inc. plans to start production of its PEAR crossover mid-next year at Foxconn’s auto assembly plant in Lordstown.
The PEAR (Personal Electric Automotive Revolution), “which is planned to be built” in the U.S. in “collaboration with Foxconn at a factory in Ohio” was publicly debuted Aug. 3 at the company’s first-ever Product Vision Day, a release from the company states.
“Manufacturing and deliveries are expected to commence in July 2025,” the release states. Fisker Chairman and CEO Henrik Fisker announced in May 2022 plans to have the PEAR made in Lordstown.
He did so shortly after Foxconn acquired the facility, the former General Motors small-car plant, from Lordstown Motors Corp.
Foxconn and Fisker, however, do not have a formal manufacturing contract agreement in place. [emphasis added]
